Hotel Telluride felt more like a cozy bed & breakfast than a hotel. My husband and I so enjoyed our stay here. The close proximity to Main Street let us walk to everything, and it allowed us to explore without worrying about parking. We loved being able to come back and relax at the end of the day in such a warm, comfortable place.
great views. great wine. great local brewer's beer on tap in the restaurant. the restaurant's menu is wonderfully impressive. the staff is friendly. it's a great place to come "home" to after some outdoor fun.
Tried to order food to my room at 815. Phones off the hook. It says on the menu in your room delivery to your room til 9pm. I went down there to just get food to go at 8:40 and the chef denies me? TALK ABOUT QUALITY SERVICE. NEVER STAYING HERE AGAIN.
For the price you get.... a room. We went on the off season and the walls were still thin enough to clearly hear all the neighbors. They have 8 "free" bikes you can only really use during tourist season, so good luck getting one. Also they're literally surrounded by a half mile of no-parking zones, and they charge $20 a night. When I went to check out, lady asked where I was going next, I said pagosa springs. She said "Oh... it smells." Well thanks. It's a hot spring, snooty lady. 2 stars because the bed was comfortable.
Really, really nice place to stay. The rooms are nicely furnished and beds are really comfortable. The lobby area is nice and inviting with cookies, fruit infused water and coffee. They offer completely free bike rentals that are fun for getting around town but they also have a complimentary shuttle service that will take you around town. Everyone on the staff we came across was very friendly, they even sent up a complimentary bottle of wine. I can highly recommend the Kobe burger from the hotel restaurant. Our room and I think every room has its own balcony with chairs. Free parking can be a minor challenge but they do offer underground parking for $20 a night which is actually cheaper than most higher end hotels these days. Im sure other hotels in the area charge for parking as well. It's just how it goes and if that upsets you, you probably don't get out much. If/when I come back to Telluride I will definitely stay here again.
