Great resort with great service all the way around. The beds are like sleeping on a cloud! The Keurig in the room (with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate) was a nice touch also. We really enjoyed the spa: such a nice place to hang out and relax.
Beautiful views. Good food. Games room for kids. Massive spa with multiple pools including out door. Walking distance to gondola.
We have stayed at the Peaks several times over the past ten years, but this time I was disappointed in our stay. When we checked in and saw our room, we saw that we had a low floor room with absolutely no view. My husband asked if we could get a better view and we were told they were fully booked and could not move us ... it was early afternoon so we were a little confused since there would have to have been comparable rooms with better views that had not been checked in yet. We would have certainly been fine without having a view from the room, however, we also had other cleanliness issues with our room. The carpet had several stains, the bathroom sinks would not drain quickly and emitted a nasty odor during the five minutes or so that 2-3" of water would take to drain, the mattress was so soft and worn out it felt like we were sleeping on a pile of blankets, and our bed was noisy and creaky (lightly turning over at night caused loud creaks). After our complaint about the view, the next issue we noticed was the overly soft, uncomfortable bed. My husband went down to talk to the front desk about it and their response was that their mattresses are in need of replacing and they were doing that soon. The only solution they could offer for us was to have someone come flip the mattress. These cleanliness and comfort issues made the luxury price we paid for 3 nights seem like a rip-off. I have stayed in hotels less than half the price that were more comfortable and cleaner.
Stayed for 2 nights and when we checked out the cost more than doubled over the price we booked due to mandatory paid parking, taxes, and a previously undisclosed "resort fee". I have never experienced that at another hotel. The views are great, but they're great anywhere in Telluride. The room wasn't anything special and lacked air conditioning. Service was excellent, but the surprise extra costs made it a negative experience. We will not go back.
What a wonderful resort! We came for one night and stayed for 2! The spa is humongous and there's a waterslide that's fun for adults! Great views, especially on the west side of the building! Absolutely breathtaking!!
